HB 2701  RELATING TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS        EEP/EDN, CPC, FIN
        Requires the department of education to install
        photovoltaic cells and batteries in all public
        schools, to the greatest extent practicable.
        Appropriates funds to the department.

EEP ONLY

HB 3021  RELATING TO GASOLINE                       EEP, FIN
        Prohibits the sale of gasoline that contains methyl-
        tertiary-butyl ether.  Effective July 1, 2001.

HB 1884  RELATING TO ENERGY                         EEP, CPC
        Establishes a net metering pilot project under the
        public utilities commission.

 


 
HB 1937  RELATING TO AUTHORIZING THE USE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION
        BONDS TO INSTALL UTILITY LINES UNDERGROUND         
                                                 EEP, CPC, FIN
        Allows state agencies with responsibility for
        approving the construction of utility lines in
        sensitive areas to apply to the legislature for the
        issuance of general obligation bonds to cover the
        increase in cost of constructing such lines
        underground rather than overhead.

HB 2003  RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A VOLUNTARY
        CONTRIBUTION FUND FOR THE INSTALLATION OF OVERHEAD
        LINES UNDERGROUND                     EEP, CPC, FIN
        Authorizes the PUC to establish a voluntary
        contribution fund to place utility lines underground;
        adopt rules; provides matching grants to state and
        county agencies; requires construction in accordance
        with certain standards; requires a public hearing in
        the relevant county.

HB 2843  RELATING TO UTILITY LINES             EEP, CPC, FIN
        Improves evaluation process by valuing aesthetic
        benefits and makes appropriation to quantify benefits
        of undergrounding; requires independent preparation of
        EIS; establishes intervenors programs and appropriates
        funds for PUC web page for consumers; requires use of
        ADR prior to hearing; establishes a conversion program
        and establishes fund to pay for program; establishes
        one-call system to locate underground facilities.

        Short form bill relating to electrical cooperatives.
